A GOOD PLACE TO START

Make room for the call.

Flowtop is a companion for your Mac. The current build is for Apple silicon and macOS 14.4 or later.

1. Bring your AI connection.

Open Flowtop → Settings → Connections. Choose an installed Codex or Claude CLI, or a local Ollama model. Use the connection test before a session. Your provider’s subscription and usage limits apply. Flowtop account sign-in is separate from AI provider sign-in.

2. Choose what Flowtop hears.

Enable system audio to hear the other side of a call. Leave the microphone off to exclude your own voice. Allow macOS audio capture permissions when requested, choose the right audio device, and run a short test. Local transcription needs its speech model installed.

Meeting

Use Meeting for the transcript, recaps and next steps. Ask for a recap after enough of the discussion has been captured. Check suggestions against what was actually agreed.

Interview

Use Interview for practice and short answer suggestions. Add your CV or reference notes in Files, then attach only the relevant files to your prompt. Ask for simple words and short answers. Pin an answer if you want it to stay while the conversation continues.

Translate

Choose Translate and your target language. Keep system audio on to translate the other speaker. Translation uses the selected AI connection, so speed and quality depend on that model.

An account, when you want one.

The account menu is at the bottom of the sidebar. Available Google, Apple and Microsoft sign-in options are loaded from the Flowtop account service. You can also continue on this Mac. Account sign-in is separate from your AI connection and does not upload conversations or enable cloud sync.

What stays. What is sent.

Your workspace and transcript are stored on this Mac. Speech transcription runs locally. When you request an AI response, the chosen provider receives conversation text and enabled reference context. Screen images are sent only when you attach them to a supported request. Choose a local Ollama model if you want model inference on your Mac too.

If you choose account sign-in, the Flowtop account service stores your name, email, provider identity and authentication session records. Your local session is encrypted through macOS Keychain. Conversations and reference files are not uploaded to the account service. Signing out keeps your local workspace.

About this build.

This landing page has no analytics, remote fonts, tracking scripts or contact form. The interactive preview uses sample content only and never records audio. The current downloadable app is a personal development build, signed locally and not yet notarized. The matching source is available with the download.
